For this special occasion we created a electronic guestbook. Even though his birthday has already passed, we would still like to invite you to visit our guestbook and leave a greeting, a wish or a message for Alex!

After Alex got off the phone with his grandparents, Rob and Cindy gave him his first birthday cake. Alex started cautiously, but with the first bite he discovered this strange brown thing in front of him was actually very tasty, and mere seconds later he was digging his hands deep into the cake, and then smeared most of the cake over his face, but he actually ate a little too and he liked it!

A birthday party!

After Thanksgiving we visited Cindy's parents. Chris and Denise were also there, and because Alex just had his birthday, and Hunter was about to have his, Dan and Kathy threw a birthday party for Alex and Hunter.

Alex had a great day, and especially enjoyed the balloons. He threw them and kicked them, he picked them up and gave them to us, he carried them around and generally had lots of fun with them!

As you can see to the right, he was not so sure whether he liked have a birthday hat on, and he immediately proceeded to take it off, as he does with any hat (except when he is outside, fortunately).
