We are not entirely sure when Alex smiled for the very first time. It happened sometime during the last week of December, 2001. His first smiles appeared and disappeared quickly. Nonetheless, Grammie and Grandpa, Opa and Oma, and Rob and Cindy all got to see it! It proved a lot harder to capture Alex's smile on camera. But on Monday, Jan 21, 2002, Alex was in a smiley mood, and fortunately, his grandpa Dan was around with a camera to capture some of his smiles on film!
