We have a winner!

We know the tension was high, and that people were checking the website for results on almost an hourly basis. But now, finally, we are ready to announce the winner of the Grippy Guessing Game!

The only person who guessed November 19 as the day Alex was born, was Rob... But he will only get an honorable mention for his correct guess :o( We have given a box of Grippy Guessing Game Godiva Chocolate to Richard, who was only one day off the mark, and who had Alex's length exactly right and was close in weight. But it was a tight race, as you can see in table below.

Here how the final score was calculated: With the three guesses (for date of birth, length and weight) you gave us, we calculated the number of penalty points. If your guess for the birthday was off by a day, you got 20 penalty points, and 20 more for every additional day. For every 150 grams (5 ounces) that your guess was off from the actual weight, you got 5 penalty points, and for every centimeter (0.4") that your guess was off, you got yet another 5 penalty points. The one with the fewest penalty points, wins!
