When we arrived home, at about 9 pm, a very nice surprise was waiting. Dan and Kathy had decorated both the outside and inside of the house with nice baby related decorations.

Alex responded to arriving home by sleeping some more, and then feeding some more, followed by more sleeping, etc... On the whole, he was rather unperturbed my the move.
He saved his perturbed state for later. He probably figured he should go for maximum impact with least effort, and concentrated his crying at about 2 am. We were trying all sorts of things to get him to stop. More feeding, more clothes, more burping... It did not really work. After about an hour and a half, we called in the expert. Kathy was glad to help, even at this unusual hour of the day. She quieted the baby quickly, and kept an eye on him for a few hours, giving us the chance to get some much needed sleep. We decided he was not happy because he needed to be burped a little more, and be dressed a little more warmly... But who knows...
The next day, while his parents were very, very tired, Alex was
blissfully unaware about his nightly adventures, and simply returned
to doing was he does best: being the worlds cutest baby, as the
evidence below demonstrates beyond any reasonable doubt.

Alex was also getting more and more alert on Thursday, staying awake
for 20 minutes or so after being fed, and checking out the
surroundings, and the sources of all the coochy-coochy-coo's around
him. To the right the first close-up of his face. Next time we will
try to get him to look straight into the camera.
